Heart rate variability (HRV) is the difference in time (in milliseconds) between each successive heart beat. It’s an extremely accurate gauge of the resiliency of each persons autonomic nervous system. A high HRV is considered ‘healthier’. It’s a biomarker that can help optimize ones daily routine by monitoring workout recovery, stress level, and sensitivities to particularly foods.

Health Score is simply the way the AIO Sleeve displays your HRV. Since HRV results are confusing and deal with mathematical formulas, Komodo Technologies developed a proprietary method to show the same results but in a much simpler way; a 5-star system

The device is not completely waterproof but deals well with sweat. The sleeve itself is water resistant and also handles sweat without worries.

The AIO Smart Sleeve is made from a proprietary fabric that’s similar to spandex and lycra but is antimicrobial and has sweat wicking capabilities. Much thinner material than polyester, which you see in Nike and Adidas compression garments. The sleeve is washable and should be done so gently using cold water

The AIO Sleeve is not compatible with any other health application other than the AIO Health App. Available on Android and iOS

KOMODO Engineers have verified the following devices:

This doesn’t mean the AIO Sleeve won’t work with your phone, but we have seen some manufacturers have issues. If your phone is not on this list, purchase at your own risk.

Internal storage capacity of the AIO device is 32 megabytes. It’s used to capture sleep data when the device is not connected to bluetooth.

There are two modes: Activity mode, which monitors steps, distance, BPM, sleep, and MET (activity intensity).

Health Mode monitors ECG/EKG full time, heart rate variability (HRV), and SP02

Standby mode (intermittent use): 48 hours

Active mode (full time): 4 hours

ECG/EKG mode (full-time): 10 hours

Sleep analysis mode: 12 hours

In Health Mode, once and ECG/EKG signal is acquired, it will take 2 minutes to receive a Health Score™, which is the simplified way the AIO app shows you HRV. The app will prompt you about the 2 minute test, you simply hit “OK” and the 2 minute timer will start.

Yes. Data can be accessed via the Komodo Platform’s online portal. All data that is recorded via the AIO Sleeve App, is transferred automatically to the online dashboard. Access is FREE.

Best thing you can do is size down. The material is quite stretchy and soft. 

The long version of the AIO Smart Sleeve comes with one electrode (+ 1 extra) which you attach to your chest and a connectors clip to attach to sleeve and electrode. This is SPECIFICALLY for the ECG function. The short version still takes an ECG, but it’s done by placing a finger on the button on the sleeve. The ECG on the long version is clearer, and has more detail. Optimal for remote patient monitoring. The short version will still give you an ECG enough to take a heart rate variability reading. Short sleeve shows less artifacts, so it’s less optimal for analyzing certain heart conditions and events.

For the long version of the AIO Smart Sleeve, you should wear the clip and electrode when you want to take and ECG and/or HRV. This should be done when movement is minimal. This should NOT be done at the gym. The signal is bad and it’s quite useless to take an ECG while exercising.

Each electrode is usually good for between 50-100 uses. Depending on how you use them.

In active mode you will see BPM, SPO2 and activity intensity (MET) in real time. Once your workout if finished, you will see average heart rate and max heart rate of the workout as well. 

There are 2 main differences between the way we do HRV vs WHOOP and Oura. 

1. KOMODO is the only company that has ECG-based HRV. whereas other companies take data from the BPM sensor. ECG is 10X more accurate than any standard BPM (optical) sensor.
2. We also have ‘events’ based HRV as opposed to taking HRV full-time throughout the day. HRV should be taken at a particular time of the day. KOMODO has a list of events like morning readiness, before and after workouts, before bed, after food, etc. This way you can establish trends and see at which point HRV is highest and lowest. Then optimize your daily routine from there.

Absolutely NOT! At KOMODO, we don’t believe in monthly fees in order to access all of the amazing features of the AIO Smart Sleeve. You simply purchase on our online store and download the free AIO Health App in the iOS or Google Play Store. We are, however, adding paid features in the future for more in depth analysis but HRV and ECG will always be free.

Yes. The sleep function is very easy to use. Simply hit start in Sleep Mode, and that’s it. When you wake up press STOP and the data will load. Sleep data is made up of 5 sleep zones; awake, lighter, light, deep, deeper (or REM). 

Much like your smartphone, you will need to charge the device daily. Depending on use, you can get anywhere from 1-3 days on one charge. Keep in mind long-term EKG monitoring weighs heavily on the battery and it won’t last as long between charges. If you want to get the most out of your device, charge it throughout the day so you have enough for sleep analysis. HRV tests are only two minutes and if you even measure HRV 10 times a day, you will see great benefits.
